Tesla Motors, the Silicon Valley automobile startup company focused on producing high-performance, consumer-oriented, battery electric vehicles is coming to Washington DC.

No one ever said eco needed to equal slow and ugly.  Tesla understood this and made the iPhone of cars which should mean a lot to the gay community of geeks with gadgets.  These cars are not only sexy and fast but are also deeply environmental.  They accomplish their “green” by running completely on battery electric power making your lesbian fake best friend’s new darling Prius look like a native slug bug from Avatar’s planet Pandora.

These cars have been on sale for a while but the closet store for the DC resident was in New York City.

Now the rich and the the gay can get their hands on one of these dick-magnets without having to leave their postal code.

The exact location of the Apple-like showroom has not yet been announced but you can expect it around F Street NW near the Verizon Center.  The DC Tesla Store was slated to open in Fall 2009 but now looks like it will open some time in late January or even early February.

We are excited for Tesla Motors to move in to The District and show use what else batteries can be used for!
